Pairing with the JusProgManager
In order for you as a mother or father to be able to remotely administer the youth protection software installed on your children’s smartphones, tablets or desktop computers using the JusProgManager, these devices must be connected to the JusProgManager once; this is called “Pairing”,
Pairing is very simple and can be completed within a few minutes without any technical knowledge. Here is how to proceed:
- Register as a parent at jusprog-manager.com and confirm the link in the registration email that you will receive at the provided email address after registering. This will authorize your new parent account.
- After logging in to the JusProgManager website, create one or more child accounts, this is done in the parent area under “Child accounts”. If you have already installed a JusProg youth protection software with child accounts on one of your children’s devices, you can skip this step – the child accounts already existing in the youth protection software, including the settings (e.g., additional website permissions), will be automatically imported into the JusProgManager during pairing.
- Install the appropriate JusProg youth protection software for the operating system on each of your children’s devices. During installation, you will be asked whether the youth protection software should be administered exclusively on the device (“Stand alone”) or connected to the JusProgManager. If you click the “Connect with JusProgManager” button, you will be directed to an input field for the pairing code. This field will also be displayed if you click the “JusProgManager” button in the parent settings for a youth protection software that was previously installed as “Stand alone”.
- Enter the 5-digit pairing code that is displayed to you after logging in at jusprog-manager.com (in the parent area, e.g. under “Devices”).
- Enter this pairing code into the input field of every JusProg youth protection software that you want to connect (pair) with the JusProgManager.
- Done. From now on, you can administer the paired JusProg youth protection software via the JusProgManager.
Tip: On devices used together with your children, you can log in with your JusProgManager login password and then surf without restrictions. However, please do not forget to log out afterwards, so that your child has to log in with their own password later and surfs in the appropriate safe space.
